Concept: “To create 'the ultimate beauty' - combining ideas from mythology and comic-books, to create our own fantastic four.”
Creative journey: “We were interested in ethereal & supernatural beauty, and began looking at classical paintings. In a lot of cultures, gods and goddesses represented natural elements. We wanted to incorporate superheroes, as they seemed to be more contemporary. We ended up with four goddesses of fire, water, earth and air.”
Learning curve: “We learnt to fully throw ourselves into ideas and we gained confidence in our abilities.”
Magazine targeted: Spoon: “because of its emphasis on beauty ideas, and because we liked the square format.”
