Go Green!

"What I find is that the beauty industry is not very beautiful. It can't be beautiful if it's not also doing good." Dominique Nils Conseil (President, Aveda).

It's not only food that's gone all conscientious and organic. The beauty industry is realising that as more people become concerned over animal testing and extraneous packaging it's time to make a change. Are you excerising your values when you go to the beauty counter? What are your main concerns over the damage the beauty industry is doing to your environment - do you really need that extra packaging on that lip gloss? Do you even care?

Here at i-shadow we believe that you can make a difference. Start with your bathroom cabinet. If one beauty company can successfully launch a recyclable lipstick tube why can't everyone else? Do you have any solutions, anything you think the big brands could be doing to lessen their impact on the environment? And what about the little people; which are your favourite feel-good/look good/no-fuss beauty brands? Who's leading the way?
